Gary G. Brandt — Gary Brandt joined SatCon
Technology Corporation® (Nasdaq NM: SATC) in January 2006
in the newly created role of Vice President, Corporate Development.
Mr. Brandt is a senior business leader with extensive cross-industry
and cross-border experience in the alternative energy and telecommunications
sectors. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Brandt served as Chief Financial
Officer of Hydrogenics Corporation, a hydrogen and PEM fuel cell
technology company based in Toronto , Canada.
R. Daniel Brdar — Mr. Brdar has been
President and Chief Operating Officer of Fuel Cell Energy since
September 2005 and is responsible for all manufacturing and non-manufacturing
operations for the company’s ultra-clean Direct FuelCell® (DFC®)
power plants, which includes the company’s commercial cost-out
efforts. Mr. Brdar has over 24 years experience in technology
development and new product introductions, including economic
and technical analysis specializing in power generation systems.
Prior to joining FuelCell Energy, Mr. Brdar held the position
of Gas Turbine Product Manager for General Electric Power Systems.
Prior to joining GE, he led the U.S. Department of Energy’s
Power Systems Product Management organization.
Stuart Caplan — Mr. Caplan is a partner
at White & Case and has 20 years of experience in the energy
industry. His areas of focus are on electric and natural gas
industry restructuring, renewable, fossil fuel and transmission
project development, and the regulatory aspects of mergers and
acquisitions. Prior to joining White & Case, he chaired the
regulatory department of a leading public utility law boutique
and holds leadership positions in the energy bar.
Mark Townsend Cox — Mark Townsend Cox is the founder and
chief investment officer of New Energy Fund LP, a hedge fund
that invests in stocks that are focused on the emerging sustainable
energy technology market. Previously, he was a portfolio manager
at Pinnacle International Management LLC, an employee owned money
manager based in New York, where he was part of an investment
team that held the number 1 position for 5 year returns in both
Nelson’s “Worlds Best Money Managers” through
2002.
Christopher D’Arnaud-Taylor — Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Xethanol Corporation (XTHN), a leading firm in the area of ethanol production technology. Mr. Taylor was an international merchant banker and entrepreneur and worked with international multinationals in various regions of the world. He was also a Director and President of the private merchant banking firm London Manhattan Securities. He is also a Director of Metamorphix Global Inc and Xeminex. He has an MBA from the London Business School and was an exchange scholar at Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales and Stern School of Business at New York University. He also completed studies at the University of Exeter.
Adam Epstein — Mr. Epstein, 40, is a co-founder
and principal of Enable Capital Management, LLC, a San Francisco-based
investment firm which provides capital to publicly-traded growth
companies. Mr. Epstein is an attorney by training. He has appeared
on CNN and ABC News, among other networks, and has lectured and
written extensively about law and entrepreneurship. In November
1999, Mr. Epstein was featured on the cover of The Wall Street
Journal.
Douglas L. Faulkner — Mr Faulkner was named Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) on June 24, 2005. He continues to serve as the political deputy and Chief Operating Officer as well. EERE is a $1.2 billion research and development organization which employs about five hundred federal employees in Washington, D.C. and six regional offices. They are supported by thousands of contractors at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and in the private sector.Mr. Faulkner oversees all aspects of EERE operations, with all of the key organizational elements reporting directly to him. The White House, the Congress and the National Academy of Public Administration have recognized the success of these reforms.
Mr. Faulkner now leads three designated Presidential technology initiatives in biomass, solar and hydrogen. Mr. Faulkner has testified on numerous occasions before Congress about renewable energy and energy efficiency. Before assuming his leadership posts in EERE, Mr. Faulkner progressed rapidly at the Central Intelligence Agency and later the Department of Energy. He rose from junior China intelligence analyst in1979 to a nationally-recognized leader in bio-based products and a senior policy advisor to Secretaries of Energy in both Bush Administrations.
Peter Fusaro — Peter C. Fusaro is the best selling author
of What Went Wrong at Enron, keynote speaker and energy industry
thought leader noted for his keen insights in emerging energy
and environmental financial markets. He coined the terms “Green
Trading and Green Finance.” He has been actively engaged
on global warming and clean technology issues since 1990. He
is co-principal of the Energy Hedge Fund Center LLC (www.energyehdgefunds.com).
Peter has appeared on CNBC, NHK, Bloomberg TV, CNBC Europe and
NPR as well as given countless interviews to both print and electronic
media on 5 continents. He has written over 500 published articles
and written 11 books on energy and environmental trading. These
works have been translated into 4 languages.
Chris Groobey — Chris Groobey is a partner in Baker & McKenzie’s
Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance practice group, based
in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His recent transactions
include numerous ethanol, biodiesel and landfill gas project
financings, an MLP offering relating to coal-sector assets, a
power plant in Central America, advising investors with respect
to distressed debt strategies, negotiating synthetic PPAs between
IPPs and trading desks, and various asset acquisitions.
Walter Nasdeo — Mr. Nasdeo is Managing Director and Head
of Energy Technology Ardour Capital Investments, LLC, where he
is responsible for equity research. Previously, he was Vice President
of research and headed the energy technology team at Bluestone
Capital. At Credit Lyonnais Securities he researched consolidating
industries. Walter has appeared numerous times on CNBC, Bloomberg,
and The BBC. He has also presented at numerous energy technology
conferences and been quoted in various publications including
The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune, Business Week,
CNNMoney, CNNfn, The Street.Com and Bloomberg News. He has been
named a Bulldog Research Award Winning Analyst for earnings accuracy.
Joseph A. Parella, Jr. — Mr. Parella has been with the Department of Public Service since 1981. He is a principal on the Department’s Renewable Energy Team where he has assisted in the development of New York’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). Among other responsibilities, he has served as the coordinator of the Energy Policy Advisory Committee, a leader of the Retail Access/ESCO Team, and Chief of the Consumer Services Division’s Program and Analysis Section. Prior to joining the Department, Joseph worked for the New York State Energy Office.
Michael A. Stosser — Mr. Stosser is a Managing Director of Ardour Capital Investments and is responsible for transaction origination, structuring and execution. Michael joins Ardour Capital from Heller Ehrman, a law firm, where he was a Partner representing clients in the development, construction and sale of cogeneration and other power generation projects, as well as natural gas pipeline facilities. Prior to entering private practice Michael was with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where, as Assistant General Counsel for Rulemaking and Environmental Law he was responsible for the Commission’s regulations in oil and gas, electric power and hydroelectric power. He also coordinated Congressional investigations and responses by FERC to Congress. |
